Tallulah Willis Wears Custom Balenciaga Couture for Wedding

Writer, artist, and advocate Tallulah Willis married musician Justin Acee on August 8th in Sun Valley, Idaho, following a final dress fitting at the Chateau Marmont with Vogue.

Balenciaga Couture Creation

The bride’s custom gown, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, took 712 hours to create, including 405 hours of construction and atelier alterations, and nine hours for the veil. The strapless silk satin dress features a draped train skirt and a bow, a detail requested by Piccioli. Hand embroidery, meticulously beaded by Balenciaga artisans, adorned the organza petals, each requiring approximately 60 hours of work.

Inspiration and Collaboration

Tallulah worked with her mother, Demi Moore’s, longtime stylist Brad Goreski to gather inspiration for the couture team. Goreski described the process as “a beautiful moment” to see ideas come to life, noting the team’s “exquisite selection of sketches.” Moore recalled Piccioli spending four hours with them after his first Balenciaga collection, stating he “would have stayed there playing all day.”

Details and Reaction

The dress’s neckline was inspired by a Balenciaga sheath worn by Moore to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Upon revealing the gown, family and friends reacted with applause and admiration, describing Tallulah as a “movie star goddess” with the addition of the veil. “I’ll never forget that,” Tallulah said.
