Christopher Ward has breathed new life into its iconic Sealander collection, debuting updated versions of the GMT and Automatic models. The revamped lineup aims to further its reputation as an accessible gateway to mechanical watchmaking, catering to everyday wear.
Gmt model revamp: clearer distinction and enhanced functionality
Compared to its predecessor, the Sealander GMT now boasts a more distinct identity. Available in 36mm, 39mm, and 42mm case sizes, the GMT model is distinguished by a fixed steel bezel featuring a 24-hour scale. This feature allows for precise tracking of a second time zone, courtesy of the Sellita SW330-2 movement, which offers a 56-hour power reserve and 'caller' GMT functionality.
Other notable features of the GMT include a water resistance rating of 150 meters and a range of polished lacquer dial colors, including white, sky blue, and black, with a limited pistachio green option reserved for the 39mm variant.
Automatic model enhancements: slimmer profile and extended power reserve
The Sealander Automatic, meanwhile, has received a makeover focused on aesthetics and performance. The model boasts a slimmer case profile, measuring just 10.6mm thick in its smaller 36mm and 39mm sizes. A more refined, polished finish adds to the overall elegance of the timepiece.
Under the hood, the Automatic is powered by Sellita's SW200-2 Power+ caliber, which significantly increases the power reserve to a robust 65 hours – nearly three days of uninterrupted operation, up from the previous generation's 38 hours.
Available in white, black, and sky blue dials across both 36mm and 39mm case sizes, the Automatic also features a limited pink dial option in the 36mm, as well as a pistachio green variant exclusive to the 39mm.

Both the GMT and Automatic models now come equipped with Christopher Ward's innovative iLink bracelet system. This feature allows for effortless link adjustments using a push-button mechanism, eliminating the need for tools.
Pricing for the updated Sealander collection starts at a remarkably affordable $1,150 for the Automatic and $1,535 for the GMT, making high-quality mechanical timepieces more accessible than ever.
