Haye fuels feuds as 'i'm a celebrity' camp collapses

David Haye’s simmering animosity towards Gemma Collins and Beverley Callard threatens to derail the ‘I’m a Celebrity…South Africa’ experiment as the two camps finally unite. The spectacle unfolds tonight at 9pm on ITV, promising a volatile clash of egos and strategic maneuvering.

Camp collapse and calculated conflict

After three episodes of isolated living, the celebrity camps are set to merge, creating a pressure cooker environment ripe for drama. But the reunion isn’t about collaborative survival; it’s dominated by a sustained feud between Haye and the two campmates, fueled by a pointed strategic move from the former boxing champion.

During a recent challenge, Haye made the calculated decision to exile Beverley Callard to the more punishing Savannah Scrub camp, a move that immediately ignited a furious response. ‘Up yours — I will get my own back,’ Beverley declared, vowing retribution – a sentiment echoed by Adam Thomas, who warned Haye to ‘stay away from Gemma’ as well. The tension is palpable, with Seann Walsh attempting a futile attempt at diffusing the situation with a boxing-related joke.

A calculated gamble?

A calculated gamble?

Sources close to Haye insist the decision to send Beverley wasn’t born of malice. “It wasn’t personal,” one insider explained. “David is a very calm and thoughtful person. He thinks everything through. He’s very logical. His thought process would have been all about survival instinct. He knew in order to have the best chance in there, it was important to have the strongest members of the group in his team.” The move, however, backfired spectacularly, with Beverley characterising Haye as an ‘evil’ opponent, fantasising about a ‘chin’ and plotting her revenge.

Adding fuel to the fire, Gemma Collins isn’t letting Haye off the hook either. During a recent trial, Haye’s refusal to offer her water – insisting she “forget about the rules” – earned her a scathing rebuke. “I just can’t get over that David Haye – instead of thinking, ‘go on girl’ – actually refused me water,” she fumed. The dynamic is undeniably toxic, and viewers will be left to wonder how Haye manages to navigate these two deeply entrenched conflicts as the series progresses.
